Why I Made this Blog and My Passion Towards It

Well okay, the assignment was to explain why we made this blog and your passion for it so just a heads up i'll be talking about that mainly, but I will talk about a place or two as well. Okay lets get into this; well most of you already know why I made this blog and that's because it's what we are working on in modes of writing. My passion towards it would be that I like learning about these types of places because I find them very interesting. They are not like your average pit or forest, they have certain qualities or characteristics that make them stand out and are truly mysterious.... of 20 metres: The Door to Hell – noted for its natural gas fire

Such as the door to hell (above). You don't see something like this every day. Think about it, it's a giant pit of fire! Not to mention it's been burning for 40 years. It's not due to go out for quiet a long time either. Also it is so hot that you can only stand near the edge for a couple of mins because it's so hot. For another example there is the Nazca lines in Peru.

No one knows why these lines are here, but all in all they are pretty cool. There are multiple drawings of random things such as a monkey, a person, and an ant. Hopefully we will be able to find out why these are here, but now we can only guess and question. Well this is the end thanks for reading.

Tim the duck's return

So if you read the first story about Tim the duck, then you will know who he is and what a weird story it was. Now for those of you that hadn't read the story, go back a couple of posts and read it you bum. No, that was bad, I'm sorry I love you, person that's reading this. Anyway here is a picture of Tim the duck.

Yea that's him. I bet your wondering which one he is; well just so you know he's the one on top. Yes he knows how to cruise in style. Oh did I happen to tell you he's on his way to the mysterious lines in Peru. he's heard from a brother from another mother that these line are very interesting and he should see them from the sky. The lines in Peru are called the Nazca lines.

So on his way he met a a man selling pickles and he went up to the man and said quack quack. Yea that's right he said quack quack, what do you expect he's a duck he doesn't know English. After he left the man selling pickles he took off in the sky for the lines on the ground. when he went flying into the sky for them he saw an ant just siting there so he went diving for it, but when he got there it was gone.He did this multiple times and he kept missing the ant every time because it just went away when ever he went for it.Well he eventually gave up because on the last time he dove he had a bunch of tourists taking pictures of him and calling him horse. As he was flying away a little boy was like "daddy why is that horse flying away" and his dad replied" cause nature calls boy, nature calls." Well this is the end of Tim's adventure for today hope you enjoyed it.

How to Get to Some of These Mysterious Places

Alright, this is the blog where I tell you how to get to some of the mysterious places around the world. All I need is your attention (and a small fee of 500 dollars). Don't worry that was a joke. So for the first place we have the Easter Islands. One of the most common ways to go there is by plane. The cheapest price I found was about 2,000 dollars. You would have to get on a plane to Santiago, and then once you get there you would have to get on another smaller plane and fly to Easter Island from there.

Easter Island Heads (bodies don't look like that, it's a joke)

Blood Falls is next on our list. You can't catch a plane to this area because it is deep in Antarctica. Now I can't even find a way to get there on the internet, so my best bet on how to get there is to go to Antarctica. There are flights to Antarctica, but the best time to go there is in Tour Season because all other times it is dark and really cold.

Finally, we have the Door to Hell. This is located in Turkmenistan.

First you can take a plane to Turkmenistan, and then you pay for a tour vehicle to take you to it. Now keep in mind this is a very dangerous site, so I would not recommend bringing children. Be very careful around here because if you fall in there is a very high chance you will die. Other than that it is a very cool place to go to, but remember it will be very hot because it’s in the desert and it’s a giant pit of fire so yea, it’s hot.

Thanks for reading and good bye.

A view on an interesting book

Okay so the book I am reading is Geographica. It is a book that is like 2 feet tall and 3 feet wide and 5 inches thick. By the way, those are just estimates, point being that it’s a big book. It is interesting though because it talks about almost everything in the world and it has some very nice pictures in it. Yes, I did read it and no, I did not just look at the pictures and be like ooooo that looks purty.
(The Book)

The book itself is made by Philippa Sandall. The most interesting part was when it talked about all of the stone heads on the Easter Islands.Like who made the heads and why were they made? The information in the book is pretty accurate because I will read some things in it and would look up what I'm reading about, on the internet and it would show almost the exact same information. Now the author herself had strong feelings toward learning about the world and she wanted to make a book about things from around the world like different cultures from ours. As I had said before, the author is Philippa Sandall and she has been very thorough in explaining things about certain areas like that there are 887 stone heads on the waster Islands. Not to mention how life is like in Africa and how much closer to the nature they are than us here in America.
Easter Island Heads

The information in this book is very useful in many ways because it not only talks about things from all around the world, but it also has maps of all of the countries and it goes ahead and shows you all of the states and big cities. It is broken into chapters in categories like North America and South America, then you also have Africa, Europe, and Asia. Lastly, I have no idea how this book compares to others in this genre, but I can't imagine it getting better.
Philippa Sandall is the editor of the University of Sydney Human Nutrition Unit’s GI Newsletter In which it has more that 120,000 subscribers. She also has wrote a book called The Ultimate Guide to Sugars And Sweeteners.

Thanks for reading this and hope you liked this.

My Fictional story about mysterious places

Well OK as the title says this is fictional and is not real so don't believe it(just this story).
oh, and here is a duck. That's right.

Anyway this is a story about Tim, he is a kid who wanted more out of life. One day Tim had 5 bucks and decided to spend it on a lottery ticket, and then we all know what happened next. He didn't win and when he got home he remembered that he is a duck and has no sense of money and figured out why the cashier was staring at him funny. So after a long hard thought he DECIDED THAT... ooo look a potato bug... he decided that he wanted to go to many places. So with that he flew off from his tree...(that's right, a duck can live in a tree, quit being racist; if you judge a fish by whether it can climb a tree or not it will spend it's whole life thinking it can't)... and he headed to where ever that delicious smell of churros was coming from.

So when he finally landed in Poland in a strange forest. The trees were all crooked like hooks growing out of the ground. He then looked up at a sign and it read" Mysterious Crooked Forest,"but of course he can't read so he just waddled on. Then he noticed something so amazing that if you saw it you wouldn't be able to handle it. It was shining gold all around it while it was moving around the trees. That thing was... ooo look another potato bug... oops sorry looks like it got away well I guess you'll never find out what it was. I guess it's time for Tim the duck to go home. Well that was one fun adventure and hopefully we can do that again sometime. So hope you enjoyed my very fictional story about Tim the Duck, see you later.

Places That Intrigue the Mind

Mysterious Crooked Forest in Poland

Well here is another post of mysterious places around the world. Thanks for the comments on the previous post and  hopefully you enjoy this one. OK so first on this list is the Mysterious crooked Forest located in North-West Poland near Gryfino. The forest it's self is about 400 trees big and they all grow with a ninety degree bend. It has been estimated that they will grow for 7 to 10 years before being held down for a purpose unknown.
Cancun Underwater Museum in Cancun, Mexico

Next we have the Under water museum in Cancun, Mexico. It has more than 400 statues placed under water as a part of an artwork project named ''The Silent Evolution" by Jason deCaires Taylor. He had the idea for a museum that snorkelers and divers could go to and explore, and they were planned to be installed by 2010. So if you love to go diving you should try this place.
Hell Town

Now we have Hell Town, located in the northern part of Summit County, Ohio. It was a town where many people had once lived, but then a government buyout happened and everyone was evicted. The houses were meant to be torn down and the land used as a national park, but the plans never manifested. The scary thing about it is that when driving down the road you will eventually come to a dead end, named the end of the world, and it is said that if you stay at the end for too long  you may meet your end by the hands of  freaks patrolling the woods such as KKK, Satanists, a mental patient, an abnormally large snake, and mutants caused by a chemical spill. Imagine that!

Well that's the end of this post, thanks again for the comments and hope you like this.

Door to hell (name of area) Google images

Have you ever wondered if there are mysterious places here on earth that would be rather cool to visit or learn about? Well I certainly have, that's why I typing this up. Anyway there are places around the world that are interesting yet mind boggling why they are like that, I am here to share that information with you.

First we have the Door to Hell(above). This is a pit that measures a diameter of 70 meters (230 ft),a width of 60 meters (200 ft) and to a depth of about 20 meters (66 ft). It is a natural gas field in Ahal ProvinceTurkmenistan that has been set on fire by soviet engineers. It has been burning for four decades after being set on fire, and it's not due to go out for quiet awhile.

Blood Falls (Google images)

Another interesting place are the blood falls. Don't worry it's not real blood! These falls were first discovered by the Australian geologist Griffith Taylor and are rather hard to get to because they are in Antarctica. The fall's liquid is made of iron-oxide, tainted salt water. If I ever had the chance I would definitely go to see this up close.

Hoia Baciu Forest Google images

Finally the last one for this post, Hoia Bacju Forest. So the locals say that this forest (that has a circular meadow in the middle) is a portal and those that go into it may never come back. Some that have come out have said that the suffered from nausea and anxiety, saying that the trees were straight ,but then bent over.People have also reported seeing extraterrestrial being in this forest. It is considered the Bermuda Triangle of Europe.

Well that's it for this post I might do another one, so until then good bye.
